Atka Volcanic Complex volcano (Andreanof Islands, USA) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 3 April-9 April 2024 (New Activity / Unrest)

AVO lowered the Volcano Alert Level for the Atka volcanic complex to Normal (the lowest level on a four-level scale) and the Aviation Color Code to Green (the lowest color on a four-color scale) at 0734 on 9 April. The report noted that activity at the volcano had decreased following the small explosion at the summit crater of Korovin on 27 March, one of the volcanoes at the complex.
