The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reported that a light earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred at 07:32 AM on May 11, 2022 (MDT).

IMO has now raised Askja to Yellow status as the rapid deformation of the caldera is continuing and has now reached 7 cm in just six weeks. Rising magma is also only at 2-3 km depth, so the possibility of an eruption in the near-term is increased.

A powerful magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit Mexico's west coast near Acapulco city Thursday night Sep 7, 2021 at 8:47 pm local time. According to preliminary news, it caused only relatively moderate damage, fortunately, despite its dangerously large magnitude. However, at least on man was reported killed by a falling post.

magnitude 4.0 earthquake occurred 10 km northeast of Santorini Island. The quake hit at 11.21 am local time. It was felt by many people on Santorini, especially in the northern part of the island in the town of Oia, mostly as weak shaking that lasted a few seconds.
