Background

The Mispía lava dome lies near the center of a cluster of a half-dozen Pleistocene domes SSE of the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas. The Amahuitz lava dome lies to the NE of Mispía, La Iglesia dome to NNW, La Lanza to the west, and Santontón and Venustiano Carranza domes to the south.
