Background
Momisawa-dake volcano in the Northern Japan Alps was the source of a dacitic-rhyolitic pyroclastic-flow plateau. The complex includes the Sueindani vent and the Okuhida pyroclastic-flow deposit and was active sometime between about 0.65 and 0.3 million years ago (Nakano et al., 2001-).---
