Nyamuragira volcano (DRCongo): new lava lake

New lava lake in the caldera of Nyamuragira volcano visible from satellite on 11 June (image: Sentinel 2)
It seems that a new lava lake formed within the caldera judging from 11 June satellite image.
The lake is in currently stable condition suggests that there is a delicate equilibrium between heat and magma supply and loss (through cooling and mild emissions during degassing).
