INSIVUMEH reports continuing strombolian activity with explosions at intervals of 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Glowing bombs are thrown to heights of 50-100 m above the rim of the crater. - All news about: Pacaya volcano

Pacaya volcano (Guatemala): increase of activity
An increase in seismic activity has occurred gradually over the past 24 hours. Individual explosion signals have merged into strong continuous tremor. This could indicate another paroxysm with continuous explosions / lava fountaining / lava flow emission in the progress, but CONRED / INSIVUMEH have not (yet) updated on this possible increase in activity. Pacaya volcano (Guatemala) activity update
Strombolian activity has been gradually increasing during the past days. Frequent explosions, at intervals of about 5 minutes, eject glowing material to 50-100 m above the Mackenney crater, and ash plumes drift up to 3 km to the W and SW.
