Nisyros Island, Greece: impressions of our September 2017 reconnaissance trip
Nisyros island is located in the eastern part of the Aegean Sea next to Turkey. Together with the isles of Kos and Yali, it represents one of the main active volcanic centra in Aegean Sea, along with Santorini and Milos. One of our VolcanoDiscovery tour guides, Ingrid Smet, made a short reconnaissance trip there at the end of September 2017. Judging from her photographs it seems another perfect destination for one of our Volcano Adventures as it offers all the classic ingredients of active volcanic phenomena, interesting culture, authentic traditions, excellent food, beautiful scenery, nice hiking and relaxing beaches!
