Rincon de la Vieja volcano (Costa Rica): new ash emissions

Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington recorded on 5 May at 19:17 local time an explosion that generated an ash plume, which reached approx. 7,000 ft (2,100 m) altitude and drifted W.
The activity of the volcano continues at moderately high levels.
