The activity of the volcano continues at moderate to high levels characterized by larger vulcanian-type explosions.
The Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) reported that large amount of dense dark ash with increasingly plumes occurred during the past few days.
On 29 August at early morning (05:30 local time) a plume of ash rose to an altitude of 27,000 ft (8,200 m) and drifted south. The explosion generated an incandescent material ejected onto the volcano's slopes.
The seismic station records 860 volcano-tectonic earthquakes associated with magma rising. Earthquakes were located mainly north of the volcano at depths between 12 and 15 km with magnitude lower M 3.9.
Short-term electronic tilt monitoring on the southeastern and north flanks recorded a slight inflation.
According to MIROVA Detection System a moderate thermal anomaly (98 MW) was detected in satellite images on 28 August.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 12 km distance from the crater.
