Sakurajima volcano (Kyushu, Japan): moderate explosion

Explosive eruption at Sakurajima volcano yesterday (image: Sakurajima webcam)
An ash plume reached 9,400 ft (2,865 m) altitude and drifted SE.
Increasingly larger plume rising from the crater can be seen in the image.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the main crater.

JMA reported that during 2-9 November incandescence from Minamidake Crater (at Aira Caldera's Sakurajima volcano) was visible nightly.
