Sakurajima volcano (Kyushu, Japan) activity update: occasional explosions, ash plumes rising up to 3 km altitude

During 8-14 February explosions from Sakura-jima produced plumes that rose to altitudes of 1-3 km (3,000-10,000 ft) a.s.l. and drifted E and SE. On 11 February an ash plume that rose to an altitude of 2.4 km (8,000 ft) a.s.l., drifted E, and later dissipated. A pilot observation indicated an ash plume rising to an altitude of 1.8 km (6,000 ft) a.s.l. and drifting NE on 11 February. - All news about: Sakurajima volcano

Sakurajima volcano (Kyushu, Japan) activity update: sporadic powerful ash explosions, ash plumes rising to 21.-3.7 km
Tokyo VAAC reported that during 1-7 February explosions from Sakura-jima produced plumes that rose to altitudes of 1.2-3.7 km (4,000-12,000 ft) a.s.l. and drifted E and SE.
