Activity has been higher at Santiaguito yesterday with weak to moderate explosions generating plumes to 700-1000 m height which drifted SW. There are 4 active lava flows on the flanks of the cone that produce constant rock avalanches, and a fully saturated seismic signal.

Moderate explosion at 06:08 (INSIVUMEH)
A moderate explosion occurred today at 06:08 and expelled a grayish ash column rising to a height of 800 meters above the active lava dome and drifting west, resulting in ash fall over areas of Finca Monte Bello and part of the Village Loma Linda. Read all
