Shishaldin volcano (Aleutian Islands, Alaska): increased seismicity and activity
Tue, 19 Nov 2019, 23:21 | BY: MATTHEW
Over the past 24 hours, the Alaskan Volcano Observatory recorded seismicity levels at Shishaldin Volcano and found that they had climbed to a level similar to that observed during other eruptive periods over the past few weeks, consistent with the resumption of eruptive activity at the volcano. This is further supported by strong surface temperatures observed in cloudy satellite images. Between heavy clouds, AVO noticed either a lava flow or lahar through webcam images extending down the southeast flank of the volcano. No ash plumes have been detected. - All news about: Shishaldin volcano
