Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka) activity update

Activity has calmed down, but the lava dome remains active and continues to produce occasional small ash emissions such as this morning:KVERT reports moderate seismic activity and the continuing lava emission of a viscous flow on the northern flank. An ash plume from a similar explosion yesterday morning at 06:00 UTM to 19,700 ft (6 km) a.s.l.

Sheveluch volcano (Central Kamchatka, Russia) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 28 August-3 September 2013 (Continuing Activity)
Based on visual observations and analyses of satellite data, KVERT reported that during 23-30 August a viscous lava flow effused onto the N and NW flanks of Shiveluch's lava dome, accompanied by hot avalanches, incandescence, and fumarolic activity.
