Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 8 July-14 July 2020 (Continuing Activity)

JMA reported that nighttime incandescence at Suwanosejima's Ontake Crater was occasionally visible during 3-10 July. An eruptive event on 5 July generated a grayish white plume that rose 800 m above the crater rim and ejected material 300 m from the crater.
