Background
Takara-yama (also known as Takura-yama) is a small shield volcano topped by a pyroclastic cone and was active about 0.4 or 0.3 million years ago (Nakano et al., 2001-). It is the SE-most volcano of the Kita-Tajima volcano group in SW Honshu.---
