Volcanic activity worldwide 3 Jan 2021: Etna volcano, Fuego, Klyuchevskoy, Popocatépetl, Reventador...

Etna (Sicily, Italy): The volcano continues to show beautiful and sometimes quite spectacular strombolian activity from both the New SE crater and the Voragine central crater.
During the past day, the latter had been more intense, while today, activity seems to have focused towards the main vent of the New SE crater, formerly known as the "saddle vent", now a deep crater half open on its SE side due to the dramatic changes during the recent paroxysms. Glowing lava bombs are being ejected to heights of up to 100-200 m and often land on the crater's outer slopes.
