Fagradalsfjall (Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland): (6 May) The eruption continues with pulsating short-lived lava fountains at regular intervals. The intervals changed this morning from a rhythm of approx. 10 minutes to half an hour, but the height reached by some lava jets surpassed 400 m, the Icelandic Met office (IMO) reported.
In tandem with the change in rhythm, IMO observed a slight change in the seismic tremor measurements at Fagradalsfjall shortly before 4:30 am.

Aso (central Kyushu, Japan): The Japan Meteorological Agency's (JMA) seismic network recorded an increased seismic activity related to periods of fluctuating volcanic tremor during the past few days, a typical sign for the upcoming eruption.
On 2 May at 21:00 local time the volcanic tremor started to rise gradually at moderate levels and continued up to 18:00 local time on 4 May. After this, periods of amplitude tremor started to decrease, but remained at higher levels than previous average levels on 2 May.
