Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): (14 Sep) Strombolian activity at the volcano continues at generally low levels.
The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, Etneo Observatory reported that a stronger-than-usual explosion occurred at 21:09 local time on 11 September. Visibility of the explosive eruption was very limited due to dense clouds. Large ash emissions were seen rising from the crater area and slid down along of the Sciara del Fuoco.

Volcanic tremor increased temporarily to medium-high values, but after about 5 minutes later it decreased again to medium-low values.
Degassing activity continues at low-levels over the past 24 hours.


Fagradalsfjall (Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland): (14 Sep) After the longest break of 7 days of apparent calm in the effusive activity, it picked up again on 11 September as a new lava flow returned to the western flank of the main crater and continues to descend into the Geldingadalir valley.
Small lava fountains are being observed in the field of lava in the Geldingadalir valley and continue to erupt.

La Palma (Canary Islands (Spain)): The volcanic-seismic crisis continues to evolve. During the past 24 hours, earthquakes have been moving westwards and become shallower, the National Geographic Institute (IGN) reported.
This is likely reflecting continued magma intrusion and migration under the surface, supported also by continued deformation of the surface in the same area as the quakes. In places, the ground has been uplifted by 1.5 cm (almost one inch) already. The likelihood of an eruption has thus increased and the situation is being followed closely, although it is still far from certain whether it will or not result in a new eruption of the volcano.

Semisopochnoi (United States, Aleutian Islands): (14 Sep) The explosive eruption of the volcano continues from the Mount Cerberus crater characterized by low-level ash emissions.
The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that sporadic short-lived explosions of several minutes continue to occur detected in infrasound data. Ash plumes reached about 10,000 ft (3,048 m) altitude and extended to the east of the volcano. Plumes continue to dissipate gradually with an hour or two.
