Yasur volcano (Vanuatu): increasing activity - alert level 3

Yasur's activity has continued to be very violent, with explosions that often throw bombs onto the visitor's rim and as far as the parking lot. This caused the Department of Geology, Mines and Water Resources from Port Vila to raise the alert level to 3 (out of 4) on 27 May. - All news about: Yasur volcano

The Vanuatu Geohazards Observatory reported that the Vanuatu Volcano Alert Level (VVAL) for Yasur was increased to 3 (on a scale of 0-4) on 27 May. Yasur volcano (Vanuatu), activity update: continuing strong activity, level 2
Yasur volcano's activity continues to be dangerously strong. Explosions frequently throw bombs outside the crater onto the rim, the outer flanks and even as far as the ash plane and the parking lot.
