KVERT reported that a moderate explosive eruption at Zhupanovsky continued during 3-10 April. Satellite images detected ash plumes drifting 25 km SE on 3 April and a thermal anomaly over the volcano on 9 April. The Aviation Color Code remained at Orange.
A new phase of moderate ash emissions reaching 17,000 ft (5 km) altitude took place this morning.
KVERT reported that a moderate explosive eruption at Zhupanovsky continued during 27 March-3 April. Satellite images detected a thermal anomaly over the volcano on 26 and 30 March, and 2 April. The Aviation Color Code remained at Orange.
A relatively large ash emission from the volcano was reported this morning by Tokyo VAAC. Based on MTSAT satellite imagery, an ash plume rose to estimated 27,000 ft (8 km) altitude and extended east.
KVERT reported that a moderate explosive eruption at Zhupanovsky continued during 20-27 March. Based on observers and webcam recordings, explosions produced ash plumes that rose to an altitude of 8 km (26,200 ft) a.s.l. on 25 March and drifted more than 100 km ENE.
Tokyo VAAC reports an eruption this morning that produced an ash plume at approx. 23,000 ft (7 km) altitude and extending NE.
KVERT reported that a moderate explosive eruption at Zhupanovsky continued during 13-20 March. A webcam recorded incandescence from the crater on 15 March. Satellite images detected ash plumes drifting 350 km NE and S at an altitude of 7 km (23,000 ft) a.s.l. on 12 and 15 March.

Intermittent phases of continuous mild to moderate ash emissions remain a frequent occurrence. This morning, an ash plume can be seen drifting approx. 40 km SW at an estimated altitude of 13,000 ft (4.2 km).

The volcano continues to produce intermittent weak to moderate ash emissions during the past weeks. Together with (far more active) Shiveluch and Karymsky volcanoes further north, there are currently 3 erupting volcanoes in Kamchatka.

Two strong explosions on 7 and 8 March generated ash plumes that rose to altitudes of 6-7 km (19,700-23,000 ft) a.s.l.
