Fuego volcano (Guatemala) activity update: lava flow on east flank, occasional weak explosions, regular hissing-noise producing degassing

Explosive activity at Fuego has been diminishing a bit; INSIVUMEH only reported 4 weak explosions during the latest 24 hour summary, which produced ash plumes rising 400 m and drifting west. Most activity is the effusion of the lava flow, now about 300 m long, to the east towards the Taniluya canyon, and frequent incandescent rockfalls from its front.
Turbine-noise producing degassing events are heard at intervals of about 2 minutes.
