Fuego volcano (Guatemala) activity update: occasional strombolian explosions, lava flow towards Ceniza canyon

During the past 24 hours, only a few strombolian explosions were registered with incandescent material ejected to 100 m above the crater and ash plumes of a few 100 m height.The lava flow towards the Ceniza drainage remains active with a length of 100 m this morning.

Fuego volcano (Guatemala) activity update: increasing explosions
Strombolian explosions have been gradually returning at the volcano. 5 were recorded between 18-19 and 13 during 19-20 Nov. They produced gray ash columns of 200-500 meters above the crater and dispersed up to 8 km towards south and southwest. The explosions ejected incandescent material to 100-150 meters above the crater and generated weak avalanches on the upper slope. Read all
