No eruption has occurred until now. The seismic crisis that started yesterday, sign of shallow magma intrusion, gradually declined and almost ceased this morning.
Only few quakes are still being recorded in the sector of la Plaine des Osmondes northwest of the Piton de Crac cone.

Piton de la Fournaise volcano (Reunion Island, France) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 19 May-25 May 2021 (Continuing Activity)

OVPF reported that gas emissions rose from the cones at Piton de la Fournaise during 18-19 and 22-23 May; inclement weather conditions prevented visual observations on days in between.
