Aira volcano (Kyushu, Japan) - Smithsonian / USGS Weekly Volcanic Activity Report for 29 November-5 December 2017 (Continuing Activity)

JMA reported that an explosion at Minamidake summit crater (at Aira Caldera's Sakurajima volcano) occurred at 1637 on 27 November, and generated an ash plume that rose 2 km above the crater rim.
