There are 4 active lava flows, generating avalanches of blocks deposited within the river banks Nima Nima I and II. Few weak to moderate explosions ejecting ash columns to 300 and 800 feet height, spreading west, southwest, over the region of the village of El Rosario and San Marcos, Palajunoj. - All news about: Santiaguito volcano

INSIVUMEH mentions only degassing and a few weak to moderate rock avalanches from the dome, but the lava flows seem still to be weakly active judging from the latest webcam picture. Sporadic explosions probably continue as well. ... Read all
