Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka) activity update: activity dramatically decreased

A weakening glow at the lava dome on 3 September confirms a decreasing activity (image: Alexey Demyanchuk/volkstat.ru)
Incandescent avalanches that have accompanied the elevated activity at the volcano, are no longer active and only rare glowing rock falls are being rolled down to the slopes from the crater rim.
