Background
The Cerro los Frailes vent, south of the San Juan Los Pozos fault, is adjacent to Dos Hermanos volcanic field, which consists of lava domes and flows of trachy-andesitic composition and is of late-Pliocene to late-Pleistocene age (Wadge and Wooden, 1982).---
